Why I Started Saker Concierge Clinic
Board-Certified Internal Medicine Physician
Diplomate, American Board of Obesity Medicine

Information is everywhere. Understanding is not.
I became an Internal Medicine physician because I wanted to help people live healthier, longer lives, not simply treat disease after it develops.
After completing my training at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai — Elmhurst Hospital, I spent years as a traveling physician caring for patients across hospitals and healthcare systems throughout the United States.
No matter where I practiced, I noticed the same pattern.
Patients were seeing multiple specialists, taking more medications, reviewing pages of laboratory results they did not fully understand, and trying to navigate an increasingly complex healthcare system on their own.
They were not lacking information.
They were lacking guidance.
Patients are often given information but not always clarity.
That realization changed how I thought about medicine.
What I Learned
The greatest opportunities to improve health rarely begin in the hospital. They begin years earlier.
- Long before the emergency room visit.
- Long before the diabetes diagnosis.
- Long before heart disease develops.
They begin through education, prevention, and helping patients understand how the choices they make today shape the years ahead.
That’s the kind of medicine I wanted to practice.
What Made It Personal
Like many families, mine has been affected by chronic medical conditions.
Watching my father navigate multiple physicians, medications, appointments, and conflicting recommendations reinforced something I had already witnessed throughout my career.
Healthcare often treats individual problems well. But it does not always help patients understand how those problems are connected.
Conversations frequently focused on prescriptions and test results. Rarely on helping someone understand the complete picture of their health or how small, meaningful changes could improve it.
That experience stayed with me.
What Changed My Perspective
For years, I considered myself healthy. I exercised regularly, maintained a healthy weight, and paid attention to my nutrition.
Yet despite those habits, my cholesterol remained elevated because of a strong family history of cardiovascular disease. Like many people, I assumed medication was simply inevitable.
Instead, I decided to look deeper. I examined my nutrition, training, recovery, sleep, stress, and daily habits with greater intention. The changes I made significantly improved my cholesterol profile and reduced my cardiovascular risk.
More importantly, they reminded me of something I now share with every patient:
Your future health is not written by your genetics alone. It is shaped by the decisions you make today, the guidance you receive, and the partnership you build with your physician.
Why I Started Saker Concierge Clinic
Saker Concierge Clinic was built around a simple belief. Healthcare should feel personal.
Every patient deserves a physician:
- Who listens before recommending.
- Who educates before prescribing.
- Who explains laboratory results in a way that actually makes sense.
- Who identifies risks before they become disease.
- And who builds a relationship — not just another appointment.
Because the goal is not simply helping people live longer. It’s helping them live healthier, stronger, and with greater confidence in their health.
My Philosophy
Understand
Healthcare decisions become easier when patients truly understand their health.
Prevent
The best opportunity to improve health often comes years before disease develops.
Partner
The best healthcare isn't transactional. It's a long-term partnership built on trust, communication, and shared goals.
Every Great Partnership Starts With One Conversation.
The best healthcare is not built in a fifteen-minute visit.
It is built through trust, understanding, and a physician who takes the time to know your story.
If you’ve been looking for a different kind of medical experience, I’d love to meet you.
